30 Day Anime Challenge: Day 26 (Jump Around, Jump, Jump Around)

There are a lot of good anime fights, I can’t name only one. So, I’m just gonna show you one I think is pretty cool.

That time Mugen first met Jin in Samurai Champloo. Mugen is one cool dude, both when he fights and when he doesn’t. His fighting style is a little on the bouncing ball kind of side. He jumps around a lot. Which I think is amusing. Jin is a very proper and serious samurai. I like that too.

If it’s the best anime fight? Yeah, probably not but I think it’s amusing and right now I like amusing fights. Overall is Samurai Champloo a rather amusing anime with it’s serious points. Three completely different people on their way to find a mysterious samurai who smells like sun flowers. Mugen and Jin are supposed to kill each other but have promised to first help the third person, a girl named Fuu, to find this dude. During their little trip stuff happens. I actually haven’t reached the end yet so I have no clue if they actually finds this samurai or not, or even if Mugen finds out what a sun flower is. Yeah, he doesn’t know what it is or how it smells. Also, will the two men actually kill each other? Who knows, not I… yet.

Well, the fight is here, if you are curious.

  1. Nooooo….why did I watch this clip. Now I so want to see this anime ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ I knew this was a bad idea. Crap….I just keep adding things….looks through list…..breathes sigh of relief that this one was already on the list ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
Still stressed though as I now have the added pressure of seeing this sooner ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
    That fight was awesome ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

      1. Of course not….you never do that. Ooohhh… I just thought of an anime series that has some awesome fight scenes too: Blood-C. You would like that one: gory, messy deaths and a pretty decent heroine as well ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      2. I’ve heard of Blood-C. I might even have it on my list. ๐Ÿค” I think I should make some sort of random list of say 20 anime and start from the top and watch. So I really watch the ones I actually have on my list.

      3. I’m having that same plan myself. I have a really cluttered list at the moment, that is just way too full and way too big. Maybe it’s time to just start a small list and work from there…Hmmm…you have some really good ideas ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

      4. I have so many good idea I get exhausted by the brilliance in my brain. ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿคฏ *bragging myself up from the floor. Start to ponder about if that’s even something you can say. Yeah, probably not but I’m gonna say it anyway.*

Well, if one does a short list of say 10 anime it wouldn’t be impossible. That will also make room for the seasonal ones that is to come.

      5. Haha: well…you are allowed to do that! Because you know what it is the truth…so then you are allowed to say it. (Hmmm…was that another conpliment that I handed out? I guess….๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”) Else you would be lying, and things could get ugly real fast (*demons might start appearing, sending you to hell and stuff like that…really ugly business…*).
Hmm…well…in March I’m going to have the anime theme for my blog….things on my list had better start disappearing fast on my list during that time…else I’m definitely going things wrong ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚).

      6. Hmmm…more demons huh? I already have two you know? Don’t need anymore demons…so..okay, okay…I promise to watch at least 3 Animeseries in my anime theme month…I promise….really…..I do…. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      7. I’m gonna hold you to that! ๐Ÿ˜Ž (what if those two demons make a demon baby? In the demon world demon boys can make babies. I’m just saying. *nods and hums*)

      8. Okay…shutting of my brain who is thinking in pictures again. As I am going to sleep in little under an hour, I already know that I am now going to get nightmares about demon baby’s…great..that’s all I need ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
And of course again you are not adding any pressure to me…..at all….really…you aren’t ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
        ………..at all ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

      9. ๐Ÿคฉ ๐ŸŽผ ๐ŸŽค On a serious note (!) I look forward very much to your reviews of all the films (but maybe especially IT now after this little high pressure. ๐Ÿ˜Ž )

      10. Well…the first one will be up tomorrow for the oldest movie ever to appear on my blog The Haunting. Pretty surprised quite frankly how much I enjoyed that one ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
And I will do my utmost best on It…can’t do otherwise of course..that would be too much of a letdown ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š Not to mention the fact that I of course can’t disappoint you ๐Ÿ˜‰

      11. Something tells me I won’t be disappointed. So far nothing I have read on you blog has disappointed me. So, I trust in you. ๐Ÿ˜Ž The Haunting yeah…I take it it’s the 1963 version and not the 1999 version. I have seen it but it is a little fuzzy about the plot. I do remember liking it though. I have a bit of a thing for that kind of movies and also 60s psychological horror. So, it’s gonna be fun to see what you have written about it.

      12. Really…thank you again for the compliments..That is very nice of you to say so ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Well trust me when I say that the same can be said for all of your posts. I look forward to them every day…and really that is no joke ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š That and ofcourse these things they call comments in WordPress Lingo ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I was surprised at how seriously creepy thst film was. Even though it was made 55 years ago…it was genuinely disturbing at times. But I like disturbing ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Well hopefully you will like the post. Except for a bit of editing that one is ready and probably the first thing I will do when I wake up tomorrow morning ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

      13. I know right, it really is creepy. (yeah, I say it here too. I already have talked about it on your blog) That is why I prefer old time horror. They are creepy without a ton of cgi and special effects. And, the subtle changes. And the acting. I mean, it takes a good actor/actress to manage what the oldtime actors did. They didn’t have anything to hide behind. This is one of the reasons why I love Hitchcock so much. I overall think black and white movies are better than color, especially psychological horror. It sets the tone to the movie. Other good horror movies I like are The Shining and Omen and look at the coloring on those; they are very grey and gloomy.

And yes, I really liked the post. ๐Ÿ˜Š

      14. Haha: no problem…you can say it many times. As it definitely was creepy that is for sure.
I love oldschool horror movies. They are so much fun to watch. Done with minimalistic means, but still loads of fun and much more creepy. These days horror seems to rely much more on gore or nasty special effects. Shame really.
Ooohhhh…the Shining and the Omen…..both terrific examples of great horror movies, that will never get old….at all ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Have you ever seen the original Japanese version of The Ring? Oh my god…that one was seriously scary….. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
Haha..and I am still very glad to hear you liked the post ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      15. I rarely watch the remakes of Japanese horror movies. When Hollywood gets a hold of them they always add some stupid jump effect and I prefer that quiet horror. That’s what makes Japanese horror movies so good.

      16. Totally agree….although I have to say that the remake for the Ring was quite honestly not bad. Not as goos as the original of course, but still for a Hollywood remake I quite enjoyed it. But normally I always stick to the original that’s for sure๐Ÿ˜Š
