The Mystery Blog Award – No way, me?

Yeah, that’s pretty much my reaction. A very kind teenager from New Zealand named kingdylbagblog nominated me for this and I am just so grateful and happy. Thank you so very much!

So, the award then. (if I am all that I am extremely honored to be nominated. Even if I am just a tiny fraction I am crazy honored. Hell, I am honored no matter what. Jeez, I know I am silly but this is my first, okey. It is allowed to be a tad silly.)

Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog
  2. List the rules.
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  6. You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
  7. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  8. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  9. Share a link to your best post(s)

The creator is Okoto Engima

Three things about myself. Oh dear, what do you want to know? What can I tell you? There is so much that I shouldn’t say probably. Stuff you know. About… stuff. Anyway, here goes.

I ramble. In blog posts. In comments. On the phone (yeah, not so much because I hate talking on the phone and only talk to my mom and my hubby if it is absolutely necessary.) But, I tend to write too many words about too little things. Like now, I could have probably said this in a lot fewer words but hey, this is who I am.

I’m bipolar. Very bipolar. It’ll probably show on the blog at some point. It’s not as if it goes up and down from day to day but it will eventually go straight down into a hellhole or right the way to heaven and beyond, to a place no one really wants to be. People often tells me, yeah tells me, that it must be wonderful to be bipolar. How creative I must be and how many ideas I must have. And sure, I might be both creative and have many ideas but don’t forget the hell I end up in after that amazing *insert sarcastic voice here* creative period I have. Oh, and being on top isn’t as amazing as people might think. It’s pure hell at times. Your high, climbing on the roof while you want to sleep but you can’t because your thoughts are rushing at the speed of light accompanied by strobe lights and heavy psychedelic trans music, playing so loud you can’t hear anything else. Okey, you want to know more about my mental health, feel free to ask. I am always open about it. Maybe I will write more in another post. Oh, if you have any suggestions if anime about mental illness feel free to tell me in the comments below.

Third one then. Well, I make AMVs. Not much to say really. My most popular one is a really naughty one with DRAMAtical Murder. People like naughty stuff. I made it for fun, someone caught wind of it and now it has over 1.7 million views. No idea how that happened. *bragging time over*

(per request; here is the video. YouTube has put some age restrictions on it so you have to be logged in to YouTube or your google account (I think?) to be able to see it. Sorry about that.)

Over to the questions:

1. Whats your favorite TV show?

This is a hard one. I watch a lot of TV. I have a lot of favorites. If I have to say one it will have to be American Gods (although Preacher is a very close second.)

2. What’s your favorite genre for music?

Damn, I can’t chose that. I listen to a lot of music. From the moment I get out of bed until the moment I go to bed again I have some kind of music going. I even listen to music when I shower. If I have to chose, and this is only because you force me to, I’m gonna say industrial rock/alternative rock. That is only because I love Nine Inch Nails to bits. But, I listen to so much more in so many more genre I can’t really chose. I mean, the other day I listened to The Fox.

3. What’s your new years resolution?

Nope, this is easy peasy. I don’t do this. There is no point in me giving New Year’s resolutions. I’m more of a live today and don’t give a crap about tomorrow kind of girl. So, trying to keep something for tomorrow seems impossible.

4. What are you excited for in 2018?

Nothing really. Getting some more white hairs perhaps. I like the thought of getting white hair. It’s pretty I think.

5. Favorite meme? (always have to do this one)

Meme… Probably this.

Who to nominate then? Some (all perhaps) might have gotten this award before but hey, I like to show my appreciation to people I like. Also, I am extra curious about you guys. 😉 (yes, I am aware that it isn’t even ten but someone *cough*dylbag*cough* already nominated the rest I was gonna nominate and it feels kind of strange to send a nomination the same day to the same person. So, these are the others…)

Steady on your feet

My Brain is Completely Empty

Two Happy Cats

Takuto’s Anime Café

Lita Kino Anime Corner

Shoujo Thoughts: Otaku Ramblings

Questions then…

  1. If you were a fish, what type of fish would you be and why?
  2. One day you find a rift in the space/time continuum. You choose to pass through it. Where do you end up?
  3. Would you rather be the chicken or the egg? Why?
  4. When you wake up in the morning, what is the first thing you do?
  5. If you were to imagine the most beautiful world you can, where everybody is happy and healthy… What would your horror world look like?

Easy enough or just a pain in the behind?

giphy (3).gif

My best post? I am to judge that myself? Ugh, I don’t know. Maybe this?

Recovery of an MMO Junkie (Net-juu no Susume)

Anxiety relief – AKA manga shopping

But, I don’t really think I should be the judge of that. I am after all the one writing and you are the ones reading. You judge, I say.

Okay, enough of this ramble. Too many words now. Let the award move on. Again, I am very grateful and thankful for this award. Thank you!

  1. Haha: your “rambling” is awesome! But oh dear, where are my manners: congratulations are in order first! Trust me when I say this, you will now be receiving these awards by the truckload, and you deserve them all. Your blog has been a lot of fun to read so far, and I can’t wait to find out what will be up next.
Also: I want to give another big compliment to you, and that is the personal thing you revealed about yourself. I don’t know everything about bipolar, but I do know that it can be tough. So really I think it’s very brave of you to reveal something like that 😀
And last but not least: thank you for nominating me. That is truly amazing. I’m honestly really running behind on these, but I’m going to try and play catch up to these as fast as I can.
Oh…and keep up your “rambling” because it’s awesome. Good luck with your blog. I hope it will continue to grow 😀

    1. Thank you! You know, take your time on those awards. It’s not the end of the world if things like these take time. I am not sure I can manage more awards. Or rather, I think it’s fun to answer questions and talk about stuff but to make up questions for others and maybe first and foremost nominate people, that is hard. I had to think hard to come up with who to nominate. I am a silly cat so I checked out everyone I had in mind just to see if they already had the award and then I realised that most of my nominees were already nominated by the guy who nominated me. Typical! Ah well…

I can’t shut up, that’s my problem. Or rather, I don’t mind talking about my mental health issues. I think it is important to talk about stuff like that. There are so many misconceptions out there and I would like to show the world that we (bipolars) aren’t manic psychopaths who will kill everyone. Or deeply depressed, suicidal emo kids.I also would like to make the world aware that it actually is a real problem and not something you just can say you are because it sounds cool. (I often hear things like “Oh my music taste is so bipolar” or “the weather is so bipolar” or “I’m so depressed today” when in fact they are just having a little bit of the blues. It’s a topic that sits hard with me.

      1. Haha: well my experience wit these awards, and you can see it all around you as well, is when they start they just keep coming. And you deserve them to, so there is that 😊 Haha, that really is typical indeed. But don’t worry to much: getting these awards is always fun, so just have fun with them as much as you can.
Well: it’s probably one of the things that human beings in general seem to be doing: always passing judgement on things they don’t completely understand. Luckily not everyone is like that, and I just think it is awesome of you to really focus attention on it like this. People should definitely be made aware, and I can fully understand that it’s topic that site hard with you. My best friend suffers from manic depression, and while not the same, I know how tough things like this can be. But all I can say is that with your blog and comments such as these you are doing something very good: just so you know it 😀

  2. Thank you for the nomination! I get nervous when talking about mental health because I don’t want to cause offense but it’s terrible that people would talk about bi-polar in that way. I heard about another person with bi-polar and their highs sounded terrifying. I just hope that it works out for you and people aren’t mean to you because of it!

That AMV sounds really cool, I always thought about doing one about Kuroko No Basket to “fix you” by coldplay to make it look like the team sucked but then pulled through later in the really emotional bit but I guess I just forgot. That AMV does sound really cool though, do you think you could link to it in the post?

    1. I think it’s important to talk about mental health and if you don’t know about things then you should just ask. I mean, I don’t assume that people know everything about bipolar. I am glad if I get questions about it. It’s stupid if people get offended. It’s a real problem that should be adressed. All mental illness. Especially in todays society. Well, people don’t dare be mean to me, I just tell them off. I’ve got thick skin and after all, I am the expert so they don’t have much to talk back at. It helps to have a friend with the same diagnosis too. We can talk to each other and complain about stupid people not understanding.

You should do that AMV, it sounds like a really cool idea. My AMV yeah, it’s a yaoi. Just a fair warning. But I can certainly link it in the post. I really should have already from the beginning. I get so embarrassed when I brag about stuff I have done so I tend to sort of just slide by it, if you get what I mean. But I am off and linking right away. 😀

      1. I agree, i’m really amazed with how brave you are for talking about it and it’s really great that your open to address the illness! You absolutely have the right to say no to this but you say that you complain about people who misunderstand you. Would you be open to writing a post talking about common misconceptions and misunderstandings that people have? I’m interested but obviously don’t want to force you.

On a massively different and completely unrelated note, and I want to make it very clear that I’m not talking about anything to do with you, hope fully that will be obvious . I have a strange interest in the psychology of mass murderers, these people often have mental illnesses that I enjoy learning about. But I know basically the basics about bi-polar even though I’m interested in the topic of mental illness so I’d be really interested to know. (I obviously don’t think you’re going to murder anyone though – I was just explaining my interest in the subject)

I don’t think it’s really bragging to bring up your YT clip because you worked hard and it really paid off! If anything you should be showing us so we can celebrate your achievement together!

      2. Maybe I am a mass murderer. 8) Hehe, but to be serious, yes, I could absolutely write such a post at some point. I am actually glad you asked me. 🙂

You know, I am also fascinated by the psychology behind why people commit such cruel and massive crimes. Mass murderers have always intrigued me and I have read a lot about the subject and love to watch documentaries about it. I have dad who is a crime scene investigator so I might have gotten my interest for the macabre from him. He has investigated several gruesome murders and that was often the topic at the dinner table at night. So yeah, I think it is interesting.

Yeah, maybe it isn’t bragging. I am raised to not talk about my achievments (Jante law and all that) so whenever I do something good I just keep it to myself. Stupid really. 🙄 Gonna be better at it, I promise. 8)

      3. Haha wow that’s amazing, it’s strange that we share such a niche interest. The ones I find most interesting are Eliot Rodger and Randy Stair. Rodger’s manifesto was so interesting and scary to read through and Randy has a tonne of content out there. I always mean to look more into columbine but I’ve not got around to it yet!

I look forward to see what you make in the future! I also think your profile picture is pretty cool, what is it from?

      4. It is, but it’s nice to have found someone with the same macabre interest. People tend to think I am strange for liking these kind of things.

I haven’t heard of the Vista Killings so I’m gonna look into that but Randy Stair was so recent I remember it. Scary. We had a mass killing here a few years back where 69 young kids were shot to death on an island. Anders Behring Breivik. He had a manifesto that was 1500 pages long. I think I read that twice in full and then parts of it several more times. He is scary as hell. He still pops up in media over here from time to time because of stuff he demands in prison. Yeah, as if he can have such wishes. That is the worst and most interesting case for me I think. I don’t know how known it is outside of Scandinavia though.

      5. You absolutely should. I think it actually was in english. He had a lot of messed up nazi thoughts and had a lot of connections to the neo nazi and right wing movements in as far as I know at least England and I think Germany and probably more places in Europe.

      6. You mean my little angel? It’s an artist called Feral Lemma who has made it. I happened upon it on internet one day and then I did a little research on who had made it. They mostly do hentai I think. At least that’s what I have found most pics of. Not that it matters, my little angel is pretty accurate presentation for me.

    1. Why thank you! 😀 Well, they get more personal I think so it is fun to read them (not that reviews aren’t 😉 ) and also, I love to answer questions so it’s a win win for me at least. 8)
